Centuryply BWR Grade Plywood (Is: 303) |
Centuryply BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) plywood is the only of its kind to be made by pre-pressing, where each veneer it treated with preservatives prior to pressing, ensuring uniform distribution of moisture and adhesive. The unique GLP (glue Line Protection) formula is then applied, making the plywood borer and termite proof. This ply comes with a 7 year guarantee. |

Pre-pressing – this provides sufficient time for transfer of the preservatives deep into the veneers before hot pressing. It helps in distributing the moisture uniformly throughout the ply. Thus it ensures the panel is borer and termite proof and also helps in making the ply wrap resistant. Pre-pressing is a process which only Centuryply provides. |

Centuryply BWP Block Board (IS:1659) |
The unique feature of Centuryply BWP Block Board is that the Hard Wood/Pine filler/Batons are uniform in dimension and are individually treated with preservative. The core and panels are made hardwood species of wood while the batons are kept in a closed environment to ensure the diffusion of preservatives into the timber. The GLP technology ensures protection against termites and borers as the finished Block Boards are further treated with preservative to protect it from the outside too. The Centuryply BWP Block Board uses a 0.5mm face and comes with a 7 year guarantee. |

Centuryply Firesafe (IS:5509)
Centuryply Firesafe (IS:5509) |
Firesafe-as the name suggests, is a fire-retardant non-leachable plywood from the house of Centuryply. It’s not just fire-retardant but it also resists fungi, insects and more importantly pin-hole borers. Select hardwood panels undergo vacuum-cum-pressure impregnation (as per IS:5509 specification) that result in a special chemical composition which helps form a protective char, in the unfortunate event of a fire. Hence Firesafe resists immediate ignition of burning, surface spread of flames and flame penetration, making it truly novel in its genre. |
Constuction |
Fire-retardant, leach resistant plywood |
Plywood is an organic material hence it cannot be absolutely fireproof. Fire-safe, however, resists immediate ignition / burning. Consequently, the panels maintain their structural integrity for longer periods in comparison to other building materials |
Uniqueness |
The material is non-hygroscopic in nature. So it will not affect the hardware elements that may corrode due to moisture affinity of common chemicals |
The chemical is non –leachable type i.e. hence there is no loss of the redardant chemicals In very adverse conditions |
Does not affect painting or overlaying |
No significant effect on the strength properties (adhesive bonding) compared to normal grade (BWR, BWP) plywood |
It’s slow rate of burning provides sufficient time for the fire to be extinguished |
Unlike common ply, Century Fire-retardant ply, creates a barrier against fire, due to it’s slower fire penetrating rate |
Nail and screw holding properly is not affected |
Tensile and bending strength remain unaffected, as the chemical does not react to wood |
End Uses |
It can be used both for interior and exterior application for room and wall linings, vehicle bodies, exhibition stalls, in boiler houses, auditoriums etc. |
In building, the ceiling of rail coaches, subway cars and buses ship interiors, motorcar and container construction, etc., where resistance to flame spread and penetration is required |

Duro Titanium
Duro Titanium |
NSPIRED by the advanced metal Titanium's rare properties of strength and flexibility, the House of Sarda presents Duro Titanium. Over 50 years of acquired experience in the industry enables Sarda to deliver a one of its kind plywood & blockboard that comes with -
A unique Titanium Edge 5 that makes every other ply and blockboard of the world - ordinary. |
Advantages |
Advantage One: Super Log Criterion |
Duro Titanium is derived from individually selected hardwood timber that satisfies Super Log Criterion - a well researched set of guidelines devised by Sarda's R&D to search for the mother of all logs. Sarda Quality Officers tour the length and breadth of the country (even abroad) to acquire timbers that are known for their natural hardness and termite proof attributes. |
Advantage Two: THT (Triple Heat Treatment) |
Each Titanium Super Log comes under a unique THT process, in which they are passed through three different stages of heat and chemical treatment. This optimum treatment of moisture through THT process increases the inherent strength of the Super Logs manifold. |
Advantage Three: Gapless Construction |
Each Super Log is made to undergo a never before Gap-less Treatment, a procedure that turns Super Logs into a single piece gapless block of plywood and blockboard. The result: Extra strength to give long lasting life, Infection free to ward off termites, Able to withstand more weight. |
Advantage Four: PFS True-Glue Bonding |
The durability and toughness of plywood & blockboard depends on the bonding achieved between the veneer layers. Gapless plywood & blockboard are put through an exclusive process that brings together the veneer layers using an expensive class of boiling water resistant Phenol Formaldehyde Synthetic Adhesive that additionally makes the veneer layers boiling water resistant from the very core. Clusters of similarly bonded plywood & blockboard are thereafter made to undergo: Pre-pressing (to enable uniform glue penetration and diffuse moisture content) and Hot-pressing ( to obtain warp-proof and dimensionally stable plywood & blockboard). Together they help in the formation of strong, solid, zero-gap plywood & blockboard that is bonded for life. |
Advantage Five: Termo Treatment |
Every Duro Titanium plywood and blockboard comes under a never before Termo Treatment that is both anti-termite and high-temperature proof. The procedure involves soaking each Super Log in a multi-layer penetrative anti-termite solution. Each Gapless Block is individually dipped in specific termite repellant chemicals for an optimum period to make them comprehensively anti-termite. The plywood and blockboard is additionally treated with CCB preservative solution to make them doubly resistant to termites. Because of specific treatments and inherent characteristics, BWR category plywood certified under IS 303 can withstand boiling water for not more than 8 hours. Duro Titanium, which conforms to IS 710 can withstand even higher temperatures and maintain its character even in boiling water for as long as 72 hours. |
